19 week belly shot

Yes indeed this picture is of my belly at 19 weeks. Small wonder I feel like I've been pregnant for years.

Since my third pregnancy, my belly has gotten huge very quickly. I think it's because my stomach muscles are shot from two C-section deliveries and one C-section uterine surgery to remove a fibroid. And because after six go-rounds, my uterus knows the drill.

When I'm pregnant, friends are suspicious at about 6 weeks. People flat-out congratulate me at 8 weeks without even asking if I'm pregnant.

I don't end up any bigger than other women at the end of the pregnancy. I just get huge much faster which adds significantly to the discomfort because it starts earlier. Good times indeed.

You look fantastic!!! And I'm jealous. This is my first pregnancy, I'm 13 weeks, and I just look like I've been eating too much. And I know that it may be many more weeks before I really "show."

Good news about the amnio. And don't feel like you have to apologize for being grumpy - if you're grumpy, you just are. There's no rule that you have to be in a good mood just because you're pregnant. But I do hope that you feel better.

Congrats on the amnio!! Doesn't it feel good to have that behind you? I like how the GCs warn that amnios can't check for things like cleft lips. Are they f'ing serious? I don't give a sh*t about cleft lips; I just want a baby who isn't going to die. Oops, tangent...

You look great! You are carrying it all in the belly! I think i am about the same size as you, but instead of caosting at that size for a while, I have a feeling I am just going to get bigger and bigger and bigger.

Oh, and I never did get a doppler....I chickened out when I realized it required some sort of doctor apporval, and my dr. was already telling me randomly how crappy they are and how women just end up getting scared because it is hard to find the heartbeat. I suddenly felt sheepish and shy (SO not me....must be the pregnancy) about her knowing that I am doing it even though she thiks it is crazy. We'll see, though. I still might.

Good grief girl - you have a beautifully blossomed belly already! So glad all the results are excellent and things are going well.

Gah - you look amazing, wtf! That is an excellent shirt.

And to hijack... Jennifer, you do not actually need dr. approval. Seriously. You just leave it blank. My friend purchased mine for me and doesn't even know my doctor's name. It is not true, even though they all write it on the websites and on eBay. They just write it to cover their asses. My dr. does not know about my Doppler and that is fine with me. If you want one, it will be there in 2-3 days. That is all.

Or, you can come to Brooklyn and I can loan you some goo and a wand.
